I am so thankful for my friends! Nothing can compare to a true friend. I think of all the friends I had growing up, as a teenager, and then as an adult. Some have come and gone while others have stayed for a longer time. Still others have become like family. While there is simply not room to post pictures of each one, here are a few of those that mean so much. Thank you, Lord, for my friends!

On the Alcan
Here are a few pictures of our trip down the Alcan Highway. This was our mascot, Al the Toucan. His slogan was "Al the Toucan going down the Alcan!" We saw a moose, bison, caribou, an elk, a coyote, and a bear. This trip was quite the experience for our kids. Some of them had never been out of Alaska. I did get more pictures but they are on the camera (these I took on my phone) so they will have to wait until I get them downloaded.

A Time of Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is fast approaching--9 days to be exact! I have noticed people on Facebook posting things they are thankful for. I haven't participated in that but lately I have been thinking about the things I have to be thankful for. This is what I've come up with so far.
I am thankful for. . .
a relationship with Jesus.
His patience with me.
God supplying our needs (even when we don't have a clue to how it will work).
a loving husband (for 19 years!).
my 6 awesome kids!
my parents.
time with my mom (God granted us many years after cancer and now we still have her even with Ahlztimers).
my mother and father in law.
great friends far and near.
the opportunity to live near my parents and siblings.
God's protection on our family as we traveled to PA from Alaska.
a house to live in.
a house that is truly a HOME.
a warm welcome to our new home and church.
God's protection on Warren and his dad as they traveled back to AK to get the rest of our stuff. (Keep praying as they are headed back to PA tonight).
cell phones. I can talk to Warren while he is gone.
good schools to send our kids to.
