Yesterday was the big day at our house. Cameron started school! His first day at the BIG public school! It sure seems funny with him gone all day. No, I didn't cry yesterday morning. . .OK, I'll be honest, I had my "Mommy Moment" the night before. :-) I know he's already in 2cd Grade but we've home schooled up to this point so having my baby (don't tell him I said that) go off to school is a little bit of an adjustment. I did take a picture of him all ready for his first day but for some reason it will not upload (tried yesterday and today). I will keep trying. He likes school so far. He talked all the way home yesterday telling me about his day. He likes his teacher too but says she "really is strict". He is so excited! He gets his backpack ready and lays out his clothes without being told. Wonder how long that will last?!? :-)
Clayton, who is in Kindergarten, is so excited he can hardly stand it! However, the Kindergarten doesn't start until Monday. It just about killed him yesterday to not be able to go to school with Cameron. He had a meeting with his teacher so that helped but he REALLY REALLY wanted to stay! This week the Kindergarten has what they call Roll In. The teacher evaluates them and shows them around. Yesterday morning it was all "I want to go to school now!" Then in the afternoon it was "When is Cameron coming home?" Today has been much better--thankfully!
