Worms in the Rubber Plant

I have this plant called a Rubber Plant.  It will grow very tall.  A friend has one that goes clear to the ceiling.  The leaves grow from the top center starting out all rolled up and then opening up as it grows.  As you can see from the pictures below there is a new leaf starting (it's the little brown thing in the middle).  So a few minutes ago, Amy walks up to the plant and inspects it very closely.  "What's this?"  she asks.  "My plant", I said.  Again, she asks what it is and I respond, "My rubber plant".   Amy then looks up and says, "It's a worm!"  I tell her that it's a new leaf but typical of Amy, she insists, "It's a worm!"   As far as she is concerned Mommy has a wormy rubber plant sitting in the dining room!
