Enjoying Alaska's Heat Wave

We have been having such warm weather for January in Alaska.  Yesterday it poured rain all day.  We ended up not going to revival services last night because we had a little too much water under our deck and it was leaking into Nick and Amy's room.  The downstairs bedrooms windows are only inches from the ground.  We had to pump the water out so that the room would not flood.  Today is a beautiful day--blue skies and 39 degrees.  Warren and the boys went out to pull the trailer free of the snow pile it had gotten buried in.   He had to wait for some of the snow to melt.  When Nicholas and Amy wanted to go outside I thought it sounded like a good idea.  This was Ashley's first time outside other than going to the truck.  I think she enjoyed it until she got tired of being in the carrier.  She only tolerates that thing for so long.  We walked down to the corner and back and then stood on the patio and watched the guys work to free the trailer.  As you can see in the pictures much of our snow is gone and what's left has turned almost black.  Clayton took the picture of Ashley and I.  He did a pretty good job!
